About my Clients
You’re likely someone who’s been carrying a lot. You might feel like you’re constantly overthinking, stuck in survival mode, or unsure how to simply feel better. You want change, but you’re unsure where to start. I work with a diverse group of clients navigating life’s challenges—relationship stress, anxiety, identity shifts, or simply trying to feel like yourself again. I’m especially passionate about supporting people from marginalized communities, including people of marginalized genders (women, trans, and nonbinary clients), BIPOC clients, and LGBTQIA+ folks. My approach is affirming, culturally responsive, and grounded in compassion.
My Background and Approach
I have worked with diverse populations, including clients diagnosed with severe mental illness. I also have experience with a vast span of age ranges from adults, to adolescents, to children.
I am passionate about creating a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic space in which all clients feel welcome. I take a strengths-based approach with an emphasis on empathy and active listening. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Relational Cultural Therapy (RCT) in my work.
Ultimately, you are the expert on yourself and your story. I am here to support you in writing it.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy should be a collaborate space in which your goals and values are at the forefront of our work together. Coming from a family in which mental health care was often forgotten, I am passionate about working with clients who may be engaging in therapy for the first time. I am especially passionate about working with marginalized genders, ethnicities, and sexual orientations.
