The story behind the name

When I first started Koepke Counseling Services it was just me.  Seven years and six amazingly talented therapists later, we decided the time had come to change the name to something that more explicitly represents what we do and how we do it.

Restore: /rəˈstôr/  to return something or someone to an earlier good condition or position.

Everyone comes to us with their own unique set of goals, but the one commonality is the desire to improve their lives in areas that are no longer working for them.

Our strategy in helping you improve these areas is not to transform you into someone else but to restore you to your original essence; your soul.  Who you are at your core and who you are meant to be.

Reconnecting to your soul awakens incredible clarity, wisdom, confidence and peace within; the qualities needed to define and attain your goals.

Renew: /rəˈn(y)o͞o/  to replace (something that is broken or worn out); give fresh life or strength to; revive.

Life is often complicated and difficult.  Fortunately, each of us has an amazing ability to adopt coping mechanisms to help us survive the difficulty.  Unfortunately, the mind has a difficult time chucking those same coping mechanisms when they are no longer effective in attaining our most precious desires.

Creating new, more effective strategies that are in alignment with your original essence requires updating or replacing outdated and limiting beliefs, feelings and behaviors.  Breathing fresh life into these outdated parts liberates and empowers the soul to grow and expand in wisdom, purpose and courage.

When used in combination, this two-pronged approach of restoring the soul and renewing the mind lays the groundwork for profound healing and incredible flourishing to take place.
