Francesca Teora, MHC-LP
Background & Approach
With a background in educational psychology and teacher training, Francesca Teora has spent significant time studying the different ways in which people learn. She understands how to help individuals discover their best way of learning to make significant changes in their lives.
If you are someone who is struggling with some of the big questions in your life, looking to become more closely aligned with your inner goals, and ready to move past issues that have been blocking your progress, then Francesca may be just the practitioner for you!
Here are some of the issues she deals with on a regular basis:
Connecting to your true desires. Francesca can help you connect with your most deeply felt wishes and map out a plan for realizing these goals in a practical, no-nonsense way.
Feeling out of touch with yourself. You’ve worked hard and have a successful career. But something feels off, and you need to make it right. Francesca can help you identify and take steps towards the path that’s really meant for you.
Existential dread. The world is overwhelming you, and with good reason! Things feel like they’re spinning out of control. Francesca can help you feel more grounded and able to cope with the uncertainties of modern living.
Generational pressures. You have strong parental figures with strong opinions on how you should live your life. Francesca can help you identify your personal needs and desires and let that guide your life, so you can break with old, outdated patterns and become your own person.
Healing from trauma. Perhaps you are suffering from PTSD, or other symptoms related to trauma. Francesca can help you identify your inner strengths, so you can feel empowered to actively engage in your own healing process.
Exploring the body/mind connection. Sometimes, our emotional issues can literally make us sick. Francesca will help you identify ways you may be unknowingly hurting yourself, and guide you to a healthier way of coping with difficult thoughts and feelings.
You may not need to make radical changes to live the life you want to live. Francesca will help you learn to trust your inner wisdom and discover the tools and abilities you already have inside you. With her no-nonsense approach, she will connect with you where you are, and help you realize that good mental health is well within your reach!
My Personal Beliefs
I believe that therapy has something valuable to offer everyone, regardless of where they are in their lives. We all navigate the complexities of an often unjust world, and it’s natural to need support in coping with the challenges that arise as a result. I believe that we all deserve the space and tools to explore and heal, so we can live in alignment with our values, embody our purpose, and build lives that feel authentic to us. Therapy is a process of empowerment—helping you understand yourself, reclaim your strength, and move toward a life that feels true to who you are and what you believe in.
