Background & Approach

As an intern working towards my counseling master’s degree at CUNY Hunter College, I bring a unique perspective shaped by my background in education and social science research. Before pursuing counseling, I was a statistician within the fields of child and educational psychology. While I loved working with data, my true vocation lies in directly helping people. The shift has been a natural evolution; I was as driven then as I am now to support individuals as they overcome daily challenges, build self-confidence, and reach their goals.

I am drawn to psychoanalytic approaches that integrate evidence-based practices - that is to say, I am here to help you navigate the world and its many curveballs in a supportive environment with tools that I am confident will work for you (because I did the research!).

My Personal Beliefs

I believe that therapy has something valuable to offer everyone, regardless of where they are in their lives. We all navigate the complexities of an often unjust world, and it’s natural to need support in coping with the challenges that arise as a result. I believe that we all deserve the space and tools to explore and heal, so we can live in alignment with our values, embody our purpose, and build lives that feel authentic to us. Therapy is a process of empowerment—helping you understand yourself, reclaim your strength, and move toward a life that feels true to who you are and what you believe in.
